The Fourth Annual “A Day at the Silver Saddle Ranch,” 2648 Carson River Road on the east side of Prison Hill, will be on Sunday, August 18, beginning at 2:00 p.m. Bluegrass and Western music, live animals, and food trucks will be featured. Enjoy several performances:

The Sagebrush Rebels band rebelled in fall of 2015. The rebellion was born with gusto! This seven piece band, fortified with fiddle, steel, and fat harmonies, kicks it from classic to contemporary country hits. Bandleader Cherie Shipley, lead vocalist, is a well-known singer/entertainer in the Reno, Carson, and Lake Tahoe areas. Bandmembers include Nancy Barker on keys, JR Johnston on bass, Mark McKinnon on guitar, Loli Jones on fiddle, Tommy Stiles on pedal steel and Bill Heise on drums.

Current performances:

Genoa Summer Concert Series, Silver Saddle Ranch, Jazz and Beyond Festival, Living the Good Life, Annual Western Heritage Days in Genoa, Concerts at Village Green Park for Artown.

Artists that the Sagebrush Rebel band members have performed with or opened for include:

Helen Reddy, Glen Campbell, Ronnie Milsap, Johnny Lee, Michael Martin Murphy, Burl Ives, Kenny Loggins, Michael McDonald, Roseanne Cash, The Coasters and more.
